Pathfinder Village offers many avenues through which people and organizations may get involved in supporting the Village and residents, onsite programs, and outreach activities.
The easiest way to get involved at Pathfinder Village is to become a donor. Our fund raising activities and donor funds are overseen by the Pathfinder Village Foundation, Inc., an independent corporation with its own Board of Trustees, which was established in 1983 to raise awareness and promote the Village among various audiences. The Pathfinder Village Foundation is also a 501[c]3 and 509[a]c and is accepts charitable gifts in support of the Village.

Each year, the Pathfinder Village Foundation organizes two major fund raisers in support of its residential scholarship program, the Otesaga Hotel Seniors Open Pro-Am golf tournament, and the Chobani Tennis Classic. Both events traditionally occur the Tuesday after Labor Day, and take place in Cooperstown, NY. These events assist Village residents with tuition fees, to allow them to continue their paths of growth, independence and realize the benefits of community.
Operationally, the Foundation is led by Village Chief Executive Officer Paul C. Landers, who is supported by a three-member Foundation staff. In addition to organizing events and working directly with donors, the Foundation staff also promotes Pathfinder Village through media releases, grant writing, marketing activities, social networking, and through the production of printed materials and publications. A sampling of the Village’s latest publications and educational materials is available for you to enjoy.
